Nike asked us to define ‘Just Do It’ in Germany. 

Germany is one of the winningest nations in the world, but not all Germans feel like they’re in on the winning. The physical wall is gone, but there are still several metaphorical walls holding back and dividing the nation.

We’ve always believed that athletes have the power to create positive change, unite, and move the world forward. So, on the 30th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, we told the stories of extraordinary German athletes—heroes—who blaze trails, make their own rules, and leave a legacy for others to follow. In this film, directed by John Hillcoat, German athletes sing a portion of David Bowie’s “Helden”, scored by Hans Zimmer.
